History
How this temple came to be
Established in the 1960s by Neem Karoli Baba and his close devotees, the Hanuman Setu Mandir sits on the southern bank of the Gomti and grew into one of Lucknow's most visited Hanuman temples. The Tuesday and Saturday crowds are famously calm, owing to the temple's well-organized queue management. The site is associated with Neem Karoli Baba's emphasis on simple, repeated remembrance, a quality the temple's evening aarti carries to this day.
